ISA (Individual Savings Account) Mortgage
This is an interest only loan but instead of relying on an endowment or pension policy to pay off the loan amount at the end of the mortgage term, it uses an ISA. ISA’s replaced PEP’s (Personal Equity Plans) in the 1999/2000 tax year, (although PEP funds can remain invested). Life and/or critical illness benefits are not automatic and would have to be taken out separately.

Your money could grow faster within an ISA fund than an endowment because of the tax advantages and because ISA’s invest most of your money into stocks and shares. Stock market fluctuations could adversely affect the value of the plan as your capital is not guaranteed.
