Our commitment to the planet.
Here at David Burnell Financial Services, we not only strive to make things better for our clients, but for the future of our planet also. By making small changes in the office, and our contributions out, we’re committed to working towards a sustainable future.
So, what do we do I hear you ask?
Well, we have taken several pro-active steps to reduce the amount of paper we use in the office; over the last couple of years we have been able to reduce our paper usage by 75%. Whilst it’s impossible to remove paper consumption completely due the nature of our business, we’ve changed the way we work, to be more mindful, and to take responsibility for the impact we have on our planet.
In the office, we have implemented the following steps:
- Reduce the amount we print, what we print, and how we print it!
- Send out electronic forms and documents
- Request information to be sent to us electronically, rather than by post
- To work with our providers to make the most of their online platforms and apps to process business electronically.
- Being resourceful; reusing and recycling wherever possible
Out of the office, we support Carma, and we are proud to say that we contribute to over 3000 trees being planted each year.
David Hinch, Managing Director at David Burnell Financial Services says “if we all just make small, but meaningful changes, we can actually have a significant effect on the impact we have on the planet. We have a lot more that we want to achieve at DBFS, but we’ve made a very conscious decision to head in the right direction and are fully committed to reducing our environmental impact”.
